Pat O'Driscoll Real Estate Tropical Auto Group Golf Classic 2008

The Pat O’Driscoll Real Estate Tropical Auto Group Golf Classic at Rydges Capricorn Resort is raising the bar in 2008. Queensland’s Best Golf Tournament is this year offering Australia’s Golf Professionals a chance to lay their claim to an impressive $100,000 prize purse.
First held in 1993, the tournament has grown to be recognised as one of the key events of the Queensland PGA calendar and has accrued a string of accolades. This year’s tournament is once again supported by Pat O’Driscoll Real Estate and Tropical Auto Group, along with media sponsors, WIN Television, The Morning Bulletin, & Rockhampton's Sea FM.
Now in its 16th year, the Classic is one of the largest Pro-Am events on the Queensland PGA circuit with approximately 80 prominent professionals and 220 amateurs competing from around Australia and New Zealand. The event has been voted “Best Tournament” in 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and again in 2006 by the Queensland PGA.
The Classic is played on the Resort’s two world class courses and involves four 18 hole rounds of golf for Amateurs playing alongside professionals commencing on 30th July and finishing on 3th August 2008.
